Friday Quote: go with the flow!

I have had an unexpected and un-planned break from blogging this week.  Life has been leaping and, as can sometimes happen, I have had to prioritise other things – yes, even over writing posts.

One thing I have managed to protect is reading time, and I have just finished re-reading a magnificent book, How To Be Sick by Toni Bernhard.  There will be more about this next week in one of my regular reading update posts.  For the moment, however, let me help you into the weekend with the quote below.

I find it of great comfort to be reminded that life cannot always be controlled, nor, perhaps should we try.  Going with the flow and following the line of least resistance can really help with maintaining peace, calm and equanimity.

I hope you have all had a good few days and that you have a gorgeous weekend.  I look forward to picking back up with you next week. 🙂

  1. Hey Liz,
Love this post. I hope you are feeling well??? This really strikes home with me this morning because it seems I may have broken a bit of bone in my knee. I keep thinking, “really? a bone chip now, on top of arthritis?” And I’ve been thinking that maybe I should stop trying to push myself and just sit down and read a book 🙂

    1. Hi Melissa, I am doing ok, thanks so much for asking. Very sorry to hear about your knee – that sounds really painful. I know what you mean about the need to look after oneself. If you are going to read, I highly recommend Toni Bernhard’s How To Be Sick, which has tons of great advice about getting the best out of life in spite of setbacks. X
